In this exciting half day seminar, Michael Stephens will explore new technology trends and provide a roadmap toward becoming The Hyperlinked Library.

He explains: "Library services and organizational models are changing with the onset of Library 2.0 thinking, Web 2.0 tools and new user perceptions of libraries. The Web has enabled us to connect in ways like never before. Blogs, RSS, IM and social sites enable us to make these connections. Users are responding by creating content and may want to do it with library data and in library space."

In his presentation, Michael will explore a range of important questions for The Hyperlinked Library:
- What does the Read/Write library look like?
- How does it work?
- What trends are impacting library services and how have libraries adopted a 2.0 philosophy?
- As new technologies and services become available, how do we effectively plan in libraries?
- How do we plan to optimize staff, money, and time?
- How do we determine what's important?
- How do we move toward the models of user-centered service now known as Library 2.0?

Who should attend?
Library and information services professionals planning and managing technology and change.
