What is JUSP?

JUSP (Journal Usage Statistics Portal) provides a single point of access to electronic resource usage data for your institution, harvested from multiple publishers, avoiding the need to visit individual websites to gather statistics. Libraries get quick and easy access to a wide range of added-value reports to help analyse usage and identify trends, assisting in purchasing and renewal decisions.

JUSP was developed by Jisc to reduce administration for libraries harvesting COUNTER compliant usage statistics. It is used by over 200 UK academic libraries and supported by 80 key publishers.

JUSP + CAVAL

JUSP is currently used by 23 universities in Australia in New Zealand, and can be used in tandem with Alma Analytics and other tools. It provides journal, book, database and platform reports, and supports COUNTER release 5.

The service was launched in ANZ in 2017 by CAVAL,  in partnership with Jisc. This followed a successful pilot, run in 2016, with participation from seven leading publishers and five prestigious Australia universities.
