IRUS-ANZ (Institutional Repository Usage Statistics Australia and New Zealand) provides COUNTER-conformant usage statistics for all content downloaded from participating ANZ institutional repositories (IRs). IRUS-ANZ is a Jisc service, supported in Australia and New Zealand by CAVAL. It is based on Jisc’s IRUS-UK service, which has been in place in the UK since July 2012.
Australia's most experienced resource description and shelf-ready services provider in community languages offering an efficient workflow compatible with all library management and library security systems.
Library management is increasingly relying on statistics to demonstrate performance or strategic direction. CAVAL collects and publishes the annual library statistical data (ex. library expenditure, staff, clients (population), facilities, information resources, & institutional repositories) for university libraries. This enables them to create historical collections of data that can assist in management decisions, peer comparison, benchmarking and in making submissions for grant monies.
Australia is a culturally diverse society. CAVAL recognizes the importance of providing library services in a range of community languages and offers a broad range of services to the library and information community. Foreign language cataloguing is one of our many strengths.
CAVAL’s end-processing services help you streamline your processing. Our first-class, experienced and specialist staff dedicated to a high level of customer service, work to your cataloguing and processing specifications, from a single item, to an entire collection.
CAVAL is structured as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and owned by 10 Australian Universities. Its constitution specifies a range of purposes to assist libraries and educational purposes. CAVAL is governed by a Board of Directors under the terms of the Corporations Act.
